Our E-Learning training Program for Manual Handling is a web based training system. Using the latest mobile technology and internet innovations, we can deliver a fully interactive training program online. Our E-Learning is not simply a video that will play in the background while the trainee does something else. They are required to complete 6 training modules all of which have a competency based assessment at the end of them. They must achieve a minimum of 75% in all of the assessments in order to successfully complete the training. Once this part of the training is complete, the Trainee simply emails us their name and the validation code from the Certificate in order to set up the Video Review.
Manual handling, or to be accurate, incorrect manual handling, is one of the most common causes of injury at work. In Ireland today it accounts for one third of all workplace accidents. To try and combat this, the Manual Handling Regulations were introduced.
The Regulations lay out duties for both employees and employers. They give a general requirement that employees must be trained to manually handle correctly including the use of any equipment their employer provides to handle loads safely.
Our E-Learning Training Program for Manual Handling covers the requirements of the regulations, the use of mechanical aids, safe handling techniques and much more. The duration of the course depends entirely on the learner’s own learning style. For some people it will take about 2 hours and for others it may take 3. However you are able to log in and out as needed and pick up from where you left off. The course is approved by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and the CPD Certification Service in the UK (Continuing Professional Development).
Please Note: While Online manual handling training is an excellent tool and may be used as standalone training, there are still situations where an employee will require practical manual handling training. Examples of this would be the use of any workplace specific Handling Equipment, control measures identified after a local or in-house Manual Handling Risk Assessment, etc.

Certificates
All participants who successfully pass the competency assessments in the training program are entitled to download the above certificate immediately upon completion of the training. However they are also entitled to apply for a more traditional type of certificate if they wish to do so. A sample of the traditional certificate can be viewed HERE . In order to apply for this certificate simply email us the request along with the validation number from the training. Depending on the results achieved in the assessments, our instructors may need to carry out an individual assessment of the trainee before issuing the Traditional Certificate.

While our online Manual Handling Training course is an excellent way to train and demonstrate competency in Manual Handling, it’s still possible that some businesses may have unique activities or equipment in the company.
