This Abrasive wheels course is intended for operators with a responsibility for mounting, operation and maintenance of abrasive wheels and is designed to ensure compliance with the Abrasive Wheels Regulations  

 
Aim: To enable candidates to select and mount abrasive wheels safely in accordance with the regulations.

Objectives:

·       The hazards arising from the use of abrasive wheels.

·       Identify the methods of marking abrasive wheels as to type and speed                    

·       List the methods of storage, handling and transportation of abrasive wheels

·       Show the methods for testing and inspecting wheels for damage

·       Demonstrate the correct method of mounting an abrasive wheel including knowledge of the function of the components

·       Show the method of dressing a wheel

·       To adjust the rest correctly

·       The requirements of the regulations

·       Risks associated with Power Tools

·       Practical training session, from which all delegates will be assessed

 

 Duration:  Half  Day

No. of Delegates: 8 maximum per course.

Certification: On successful completion each candidate will be issued Basic Training Certification which is valid for 3 years.
